What does an emergency call-out cost?

There is no call-out charge, including for emergencies and including out of hours. You pay for the work, not for the van turning up.

Temporary weatherproofing is usually a modest fixed fee, and where the permanent repair follows soon after we will often fold it into that price rather than charge twice.

Needed leak repairs gutter and roof, contacted WD Property Maintenance they came out next day to quote and completed the works almost immediately at a day and time to suit me. They used a cherry picker saving loads of hassle as no  scaffolding, traffic lights  permission and pavement  re route neeeded as property1is very close the highway. While he was on the roof he also spotted some erosion with our chimney stack and fixed it for us. He took before and after pictures so we could clearly see the work which had been done. How quickly can you actually get here?

Same day wherever we can. Witham, Braintree, Witham villages and Chelmsford are usually fastest. We will tell you honestly on the phone rather than promise an hour we cannot hit.

Do you work weekends?

Yes, for emergencies.

What should I do while I wait?

Move what you can out of the way, put a container under the drip, and if a ceiling is bulging do not stand under it. If water is anywhere near electrics, turn that circuit off.

Will my insurance cover it?

Storm damage usually is. Gradual wear normally is not. We will give you the photographs and the write-up either way.

Is a temporary fix going to hold?

It will hold until we can do the proper job. It is not a permanent repair and we will not pretend otherwise.

Do you need scaffolding, and is it included?

Anything beyond a small repair within safe ladder reach needs scaffold or a tower. Where it is needed it is included in the quoted price, not added later.
